Substance dependence disorders are only recognized by the disability insurance as a reason for disability if they are a consequence of a primary illness or result in irreversible damage to health.<\/p>\n

As a possible solution, it is proposed to modify the assessment criteria so that the effective performance and functional capacity of patients is assessed, as has recently been possible for somatoform disorders according to a federal court decision.<\/p>\n
