Low-grade gliomas are among the most common primary brain tumors in childhood and can affect patients for life, which is why early diagnosis involving the tumor microenvironment is of significant importance. An international study published in 2025, in which the researchers used imaging mass cytometry to examine over 100 tumor samples at the single-cell level, revealed new therapeutic approaches with the potential combination of blocking the immune checkpoint receptor TIM-3 expressed on myeloid cells with inhibition of the MAPK signaling pathway. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n
