Guidelines primarily recommend educational, audiological and psychotherapeutic approaches. Nevertheless, herbal preparations &#8211; especially <em>Ginkgo biloba extracts<\/em>, but also a\u00e7a\u00ed, Korean red ginseng and traditional Chinese formulations &#8211; are used worldwide.
