The pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (AD) involves a complex cascade that occurs at various levels. Immunomodulatory antibody therapies have been developed for the treatment of moderate-to-severe AD; these therapies interfere with the inflammatory process in various ways. In addition to biologics that target interleukin(IL)-31R-\u03b1, IL-4R-\u03b1, or selectively against IL-13, clinical trials are currently investigating the effects of monoclonal antibodies that target the OX40-OX40L signaling pathway.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
