The variety of topics presented at the congress of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) last October underlined the breadth of the field and the close interlinking of disciplines. The range of topics included important news from the field of early detection and prevention, innovations in the field of AI-supported interventions and current study findings on oncological therapies, for example in relation to early breast cancer, muscle-invasive bladder cancer or advanced gastrointestinal carcinomas.
