The Dubai World Trade Center from January 27-30 was again home to the 45th Arab Health, one of the most important exhibitions and congresses not only in the Arab region but worldwide. Around 55,000 visitors, 4250 exhibiting companies from 64 countries with 37 special country pavilions, 17 technical conferences: these are the impressive figures in 2020 and again document an increase compared to previous years.

In the exhibition halls of Arab Health, companies from all continents presented modern medical technology, ranging from hypodermic needles to MRIs. Another focus was on hardware and software installations for RIS, HIS and PACS. Innovations in healthcare, state-of-the-art imaging, cost-effective solutions in all areas of medicine, technical developments in surgery and prosthetics, efficient therapies: these were just some of the key points of this year’s event, which offered sufficient potential for representatives of all medical fields.

Offers from the areas of prevention, rehabilitation, nutritional science and lifestyle met with ever greater interest. The wide range of hardware and software solutions, medical goods and consumables is particularly interesting for a family practice. Leading exhibitors once again included China and the USA, as well as Germany and Turkey, but Australia also offered a wide range of pharmaceuticals and medical technology.

A varied program on the congress days with numerous lectures and workshops, seminars and opportunities for personal exchange with colleagues and representatives of the industry contributed to the success. Climatically, the emirate made the stay at this time of year again very pleasant even for Europeans with temperatures around 25 ° Celsius, blue skies and prolonged sunshine. Numerous hotels offered service at the highest level. The only downer was once again the traffic, which made the arrival and departure to the congress site a daily challenge with long traffic jams and required a lot of patience. The metro network offered alternatives.

Dubai as one of 7 Arab emirates is with 3885 km² area and 2.2 million inhabitants meanwhile before Abu Dhabi the most populous of the United Arab Emirates. The emirate’s domestic political situation can be considered stable. Due to extensive police surveillance of public areas, Dubai is considered relatively safe for visitors from Western countries.
