Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) are primarily intraductally growing epithelial pancreatic tumors that consist of mucinous cells. IPMNs are usually heterogeneous and show varying degrees of dysplasia and malignancy. Timely detection and the choice of suitable treatment are decisive prognostic factors.
