A family history of polyps is a known risk factor for colorectal cancer. However, the frequency of polyps as a factor has not yet been investigated in detail. A study has now analyzed whether an accumulation of polyp diagnoses in the family increases the risk of colorectal cancer. The result: people with a family history should be particularly vigilant.
