Prof. Dr. Sebastian Probst and Prof. Dr. Ewa-Klara Stürmer used the case study of an 85-year-old patient with a CVI-dominated “mixed leg ulcer” to illustrate the problem of chronic stagnant wound healing and showed how it was possible to initiate the wound healing process in this patient through interventions with a focus on infection and exudate management.
