Renal cysts are one of the most common secondary diagnoses in abdominal imaging. Smaller cysts tend to be discovered by chance, while large cysts are diagnosed due to the associated symptoms. Renal cysts are classified according to the Bosniak classification. Smaller cysts are considered harmless and do not require treatment. Large renal cysts, on the other hand, can be punctured.
