Various tools are required for the management of diabetes therapy. On the one hand, it is necessary to determine the glucose level in the blood or tissue. On the other hand, there is now a wide range of aids for the application of insulin. In addition to these aids, insulin is also an indispensable part of therapy, especially for people with type 1 diabetes mellitus. However, the increasing connectivity of technical aids can also increase the susceptibility of these systems to errors – even though the outcome of the therapy has been proven to improve.
