The “choosing wisely” recommendations of the Swiss Headache Society were developed to improve the quality of headache treatment and avoid overuse and misuse. The top 5 list was drawn up as part of a structured Delphi process and provides specific information on unnecessary or non-evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
