In connection with the ordinance on the determination of maximum numbers of doctors in the outpatient sector, the regional supply levels are a central element. It is an indicator for recording regional imbalances in the level of care. A final report published by the Swiss Health Observatory (Obsan) in 2024 summarizes the current situation for various medical specialties.
