Minimal disease activity (MDA) in atopic dermatitis (AD) is a concept that combines a treat-to-target therapeutic strategy with the principle of shared decision-making. The aim is to achieve a state in which AD has minimal impact on the patient’s life by achieving pre-agreed disease control goals through the use of an appropriate systemic therapy. Prof. Dr. med. Schmid-Grendelmeier gave a practice-oriented overview of the MDA concept in his presentation.
