PPAR agonists as second-line therapy have proven effective in primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) not only in clinical trials but also in real-world settings, as recent research findings show. In primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), norucholic acid (NCA) improved relevant laboratory values and demonstrated hepatoprotective effects. Regarding autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), a recent analysis evaluated how mycophenolate mofetil compares to azathioprine, each in combination with prednisolone.
