The Swiss Diabetes Registry (SwissDiab) is a multicenter, national observational study and patient registry that collects data on complications in adults with diabetes mellitus in Switzerland. A recent analysis published in the journal *Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice* examined the relationship between the severity of diabetes complications and quality of life. To this end, microvascular and macrovascular complications, as well as various patient-reported outcomes ( PROs), were evaluated over time.
