The number of adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) is now higher than the number of pediatric patients. As life expectancy increases, patients are increasingly affected by comorbidities, particularly CF-related diabetes and mental disorders. These conditions worsen outcomes and disproportionately affect ethnic minorities due to the underlying social determinants of health ( SDOH).
