The diagnosis of breast cancer means a massive break in the lives of those affected and their relatives. Suddenly, the focus changes from the usual daily routine to fighting the disease. The task now is to understand the diagnosis, find the best treatment and master the strenuous and energy-sapping therapy. And then?

After active therapy, many affected women strive to practice more awareness and mindfulness of themselves and their health, increase their well-being, and reduce stress.
The nationwide campaign “Ich tu’s für mich” (I do it for me) offers women with breast cancer free virtual workshops to increase their well-being. In the one- to two-hour workshops, experienced speakers provide helpful information and everyday tips on topics such as how to deal with a changed appearance, as well as stress reduction, exercise and how to deal with anxiety and physical discomfort through mindfulness. The workshops also offer affected women from all over Switzerland the opportunity to share their experiences, ask questions, and exchange ideas and network with other participants.
Virtual workshops are offered in German, French and Italian. For more information for you and your patients, visit www.ichtusfuermich.ch, www.jelefaispourmoi.ch and www.lofaccioperme.ch.
