Prolonging survival and maintaining the best possible quality of life by monitoring disease progression, selecting appropriate therapy and minimizing side effects are the most important treatment goals when it comes to treating patients with metastatic breast cancer. Weekly symptom monitoring via a PRO app (PRO=Patient Reported Outcomes) combined with an automated alarm system can have a positive impact on quality of life.
