Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) requires effective disease control to maintain quality of life and daily functioning. Physical exercise is discussed as a complementary therapy with potential immunological and psychosocial benefits. One study evaluated the effectiveness of a structured, moderate 12-week exercise program on quality of life (QoL) in adults with active IBD.
