Last fall, the editorial board of DERMATOLOGIE PRAXIS met for a rendezvous at the renowned Clouds in the Prime Tower in Zurich to jointly determine the topics for the next volume of the journal, as they do every year. Readers can once again look forward to outstanding dermatological articles from Swiss opinion leaders in 2014.
At the end of October 2013, a well-positioned group of physicians and pharmacologists gathered in a meeting room at Clouds with a view over the rooftops of Zurich: Editor Siegfried Borelli, MD, from the Triemli Hospital in Zurich, together with Editor-in-Chief Séverine Bonini, were once again able to welcome renowned colleagues: Dr. med. Mark Anliker (St. Gallen), Dr. med. Bernard Gabard (Basel), Prof. Dr. med. Peter Schmid-Grendelmeier (Zurich), Prof. Dr. med. Christian Surber (Basel), Dr. med. Lisa Weibel (Zurich) and Dr. med. Josef Widler (Zurich) had a lively discussion about which topics and authors to consider for 2014.
In addition to determining the individual main topics, texts and authors, additions to the editorial program were also suggested and concretized. We are therefore particularly pleased that we will again be able to realize new sections in DERMATOLOGIE PRAXIS for 2014. Lisa Weibel, MD, for example, will regularly present dermato-pediatric cases from practice in a new pediatric column. The first case can be found in this issue on pages 24f. Alternating Prof. em. Brunello Wüthrich, MD, in the “Memories of an Allergist” report from his fund of special allergology cases. This for the first time in issue 2/2014 (publication date April 23).
We have also come up with a great extra for you in the continuing education section: The continuing education articles are now each followed by a questionnaire, which we will soon be submitting to the relevant societies for CME certification. So look forward to earning your CME credits with DERMATOLOGIE PRAXIS soon! Either fill it out directly in the booklet, or quite simply online.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty as readers and look forward to an exciting, creative and innovative year in dermatology with DERMATOLOGIE PRAXIS 2014. For requests and suggestions you can reach the editorial office at
