Type 1 diabetes can occur at any age, but is more common in children and adolescents. However, it is not yet known which people have an increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes in adulthood. Doctors at the University Hospital Zurich presented the case of a 68-year-old woman with late-onset autoimmune diabetes (L ADA).
