Many common chronic childhood diseases may be due to the overuse of antibiotics, which leads to dysbiosis in the gut microbiome. New Zealand doctors have investigated the link between the administration of antibiotics before birth and in early childhood and the development of type 1 diabetes, ADHD and IBD.
