The revised guidelines were presented by the EACS (The European AIDS Clinical Society) last fall and reflect the efforts to adapt the recommendations to current clinical realities and the changing needs of HIV patients. Significant progress has been made in the recent past with regard to both antiretroviral therapies and the treatment of comorbidities.
