Ulcus cruris venosum (UCV) is the most severe form of chronic venous insufficiency and the quality of life of those affected is usually significantly impaired. In the updated s2k guideline published in 2024, the focus was on the prevention of UCV recurrences in addition to the quality of examination and treatment procedures. It is a practice-oriented guideline that combines the different approaches and levels of knowledge of the respective professional groups and offers a practicable treatment concept for UCV.
