The presentation by a renowned Canadian oncologist on promising treatment options for colorectal cancer through exercise therapy caused quite a stir at this year’s ASCO. The results of a randomized controlled phase III trial presented in this lecture prove that a structured exercise program after chemotherapy can significantly prolong the disease-free survival of colorectal cancer patients.
