In a retrospective analysis of real-world data, the long-term efficacy of a proprietary lavender oil preparation in patients with anxiety disorders was demonstrated. This is a significant addition to the evidence base, as previously evidence of efficacy was mainly available from short-term clinical trials. In summary, the results of Marchevsky et al. support its use as a safe and effective phytotherapeutic treatment option as an alternative or in addition to conventional anxiolytics.
