| Hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis with polyneuropathy (ATTRv-PN) is a progressive, hereditary polyneuropathy that manifests in adulthood and is frequently associated with cardiac involvement. Carpal tunnel syndrome, as well as sensory and sudomotor denervation of the skin, may precede the symptoms of severe polyneuropathy. Treatment requires disease-modifying therapy tailored to the phenotype, symptomatic management, and multidisciplinary follow-up care. |
