  • Time flexible long-term ECG

Relief through efficient solution for remote cardiology care

Swiss healthcare provider evismo has collaborated with Finnish medical technology specialist Bittium to implement a solution for the growing demand for long-term ECGs. Flexible, wireless and with maximum diagnostic reliability, it significantly relieves both doctors and patients.

ECG measurement is a basic tool for diagnosis and early detection of cardiovascular diseases. Due to the increasing age of the population and depending on the symptoms, longer monitoring is often useful, which is why doctors are increasingly advocating long-term ECGs. So far, however, these can only be evaluated by the cardiologist and billed to the health insurance companies. The consequences are long waiting times and dissatisfied patients.

Improved access, process and diagnostics

In order to improve diagnostics, prevention and patient care, evismo offers the CardioFlex® long-term ECG since the beginning of 2020. CardioFlex® is an online Holter service with individual duration (1 to 30 days), daily reporting and data review and final medical diagnostic report. In addition, the evismo solution can be used in any practice and billed via Tarmed. The sensor is provided to the practice as a release. It is lightweight (18g), small (48x29x12mm), waterproof (IP67) and medically approved (CE Class lla, FDA 510[k]). Wireless transmission of ECG data is performed using an included smartphone. The pre-installed app guides the patient step by step through the measurement.

Increase of the diagnosis rate

CardioFlex® increases the diagnosis rate to more than 80 percent compared to a 24-/48-hour Holter, resulting in faster treatment initiation regardless of location or time. This increases efficiency and reduces costs. In addition, multiple applications are avoided and patient compliance and satisfaction are increased. Remote monitoring can be performed in the patient’s familiar environment.
