Social interaction contributes to physical and mental health and promotes communication, collaboration, learning, and social bonds. It is believed that reciprocal behavior may be accompanied by a coupling and temporal synchronization of neural signals, a phenomenon known as interbrain synchrony. Research findings suggest that integration windows of about one minute may be feasible, which could provide a technical foundation for intermittent neurofeedback and future psychotherapy approaches.
