The role of immunotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA-HNSCC) is currently being reassessed. At the SOHC Congress 2025 in Basel, Yungan Tao (Gustave Roussy, Villejuif) presented current studies and emphasized the importance of KEYNOTE-689, which for the first time shows the significant advantage of a neoadjuvant and adjuvant pembrolizumab strategy.
