Cardiac arrhythmias occur more frequently in inflammatory rheumatic diseases such as RA, psoriasis, and PsA than in the general population. They are associated with significant morbidity and mortality, and the risk of arrhythmias is higher in patients with active PsA than in the general population. Identifying factors associated with these events could help define the causes of cardiovascular morbidity in this affected population.
