Prostate abscesses are a rare complication that usually occurs in connection with an acute or chronic infection of the organ or urinary tract. In addition to detecting the abscess, the differential diagnosis must exclude inflammatory processes in the adjacent organs. Various imaging procedures can be used for this purpose.
