The OsteoLaus study is part of the prospective, population-based CoLaus/PsyColaus study of postmenopausal women in Switzerland. In an analysis published in Osteoporosis International in 2025, the Trabecular Bone Score (TBS) version 4.0 was compared with TBS version 3. TBS 4.0 makes direct tissue thickness corrections using DXA measurements, while TBS version 3 uses BMI as a surrogate parameter for soft tissue thickness correction.
