Typical symptoms of this osteochondrosis and inflammation of the tibial tuberosity include stress-related symptoms in young athletes. Children between the ages of 10 and 15 are most commonly affected. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and tenderness over the tibial tuberosity at the site where the patellar tendon attaches. Diagnosis is based on medical history, clinical examination, and imaging. Treatment is usually conservative.
