In young patients with inadequate fractures, secondary osteoporosis should be investigated. Osteodensitometry is particularly useful if there are anamnestic risk factors, whereby it is important to assess the z-score, as this is age-normalized. If certain points are taken into account, osteoporosis-specific medication can also be prescribed in premenopausal cases.
