Both hypertension and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are asymptomatic for long periods of time but pose serious health risks, underscoring the importance of timely screening in primary care. In this regard, one can refer to the current ESC guidelines for the management of high blood pressure and hypertension, as well as the recommendations of the Swiss Society of Nephrology (SGN) on the screening, identification, and treatment of CKD.
