The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) remains the gold standard when it comes to preventing the progression from prediabetes to type 2 diabetes. However, the actual uptake of the program remains unacceptably low – despite its proven effectiveness. American researchers investigated whether a fully automated DPP program based on artificial intelligence (AI) can deliver results comparable to those of a traditional human-led program.
