Early detection is critical for treatment options of this multisystem disease with cutaneous involvement. Raynaud’s attacks are often in early stages and should always be further evaluated. Advances in research into the pathomechanisms of systemic sclerosis may make it possible to offer new targeted personalized therapies in the not too distant future.
