Giant cell arteritis and Takayasu arteritis are inflammatory conditions affecting the aorta and/or its branch vessels, also known collectively as “large vessel vasculitis ” (LVV ). Mukhtyar of Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (UK) presented the EULAR recommendations for these three conditions, which were developed by an international task force.
