Abdominal Pain – Von Meyenburg Complexes of the Liver

Von Meyenburg complexes are believed to be a congenital malformation arising from embryonic remnants of the bile ducts. Based on current knowledge, these benign, tumor-like biliary hamartomas do not lead to complications. They are often incidental findings during autopsies, biopsies, or imaging studies, which may be relevant for differential diagnosis.
