The diagnosis of interstitial lung disease (ILD) can be difficult, especially in the early stages when pulmonary function tests (PFTs) show only minor changes. To improve the effectiveness of early diagnosis, researchers wanted to evaluate the potential of artificial intelligence (AI)-based software to support pulmonary specialists in analyzing PFT results.
