The bidirectional relationship between psoriasis and obesity is supported by a growing body of evidence, and it is now known that there are common inflammatory pathways. Current studies are investigating the therapeutic implications of the association between psoriasis and obesity. Weight management is becoming an increasingly important component of comprehensive psoriasis care. Current evidence suggests that incretin-based agents such as semaglutide, liraglutide, and tirzepatide may improve treatment outcomes in overweight psoriasis patients, although this is not exclusively attributable to weight loss.
