Physical activity is considered a key element in the treatment of type 1 diabetes. It improves cardiovascular fitness, metabolic control and quality of life. Nevertheless, the relationship between exercise and blood glucose fluctuations remains complex, mainly due to the risk of hypoglycemia triggered by physical activity.
