Ozanimod, a selective modulator of sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) receptors 1 and 5, has demonstrated efficacy in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RMS) in Phase 2 and 3 studies. At a dose of 0.92 mg daily, it demonstrated superior efficacy compared to intramuscular interferon β-1a in both clinical endpoints and MRI measures of disease activity, while maintaining a favorable tolerability profile with fewer adverse events and low discontinuation rates.
