Patients with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) have comparatively low muscle strength in the static and moving muscles. The most important thing is therefore to get patients moving. Regular exercise has been proven to sustainably improve almost all the main symptoms of FMS. Its importance is emphasized accordingly in the new practice guideline of the German Society for Pain Medicine (DGS).
