A recently published survey conducted on the initiative of the European Association of Urology revealed worrying gaps in knowledge and misunderstandings regarding the prevention and treatment of cystitis and urinary tract infections. The results of the survey underline the urgent need for education, also with regard to combating increasing antibiotic resistance.
