Acne vulgaris is characterized by excessive sebum production, inflammation and impaired skin barrier function. Effective treatments should target both lesion reduction and skin hydration while being well tolerated. In this context, it is increasingly recognized that dermocosmetics can be beneficial in addition to classic drug interventions.
