The complexity of oncological diagnostics and therapy, the multitude of treatment options available and the need to take individual patient factors into account make close interdisciplinary collaboration essential. Multidisciplinary teams bring together different specialties to jointly make treatment decisions based on current guidelines, scientific evidence and individual patient characteristics.
