IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a rare immune-mediated, fibroinflammatory disease characterized by IgG4-rich lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates with potential multiple organ involvement. Gastrointestinal manifestations are rare but may closely resemble inflammatory bowel disease, requiring a multidisciplinary diagnostic approach and risking misdiagnosis and ineffective treatment.
